3 Tips For Running A Better Fundraising Campaign

Are you a nonprofit thinking about running a marketing campaign? Here are three quick tips to help you raise more money and gain more supporters.

1. Build emotion.

The key is to build an emotional connection with the reader. Rather than just stating facts or asking for a donation, go deeper. Talk about the problem you’re tackling, why it matters and what their donations are going to be used for.

2. Tell stories.

It’s even better if you can tell a story about the transformation you create with a real-life example. Perhaps you have a charity that helps homeless people, and there’s a story about a man who went from living on the street to being happily employed.

Or perhaps you help rehabilitate animals, and you rescued them from the brink of death but now they are living a wonderful life full of love and compassion in a happy home.

It could be how many trees you’ve planted – literally anything that’s relevant to your cause. The point is, tell a story about something you’ve achieved or are working on.

3. Show the impact.

People connect when they can see the real impact you are making, and how their contribution can help a great cause. Before they’ve donated, make sure you clearly state what the donations will be used for.

After they’ve donated, keep it touch with them via email and social media to show your progress and how much their donations helped you achieve.

Implement these three tips and you’ll see a better return from your marketing efforts! If you’d like to set your own fundraiser, register for DonationHub and get up and running quickly.
